Low-Point Puff Pastry Pizza Bites
Ingredients:
- 1, 17.3 oz package of Pepperidge Farms Puff Pastry Sheets
- Classico Traditional Favorites Tomato & Basil pasta sauce (or any pizza or pasta sauce that has 50 calories, 1 gram of fat, and 1 gram of fiber for 1/2 cup)
- Grated parmesan cheese or reduced-fat shredded cheddar cheese
- Black olives, optional
- Red pepper, optional
(any other vegetables you'd like on the little pizza bites)
Heat oven to 400 degrees. Roll out one pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. (You can also use a little bit of corn meal in place of flour). Cut out nineteen little squares, hearts, circles or other desired shapes (about 2 to 2 1/2 inches in diameter). Place on a baking sheet and add a teaspoon of pasta sauce on top of each pastry. Place a few olives or other vegetables on top and sprinkle with either a teaspoon of grated parmesan cheese or 1/2 Tbs shredded cheese. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until golden brown. Enjoy!
